RE: Mission or Milestar Tires
Thanks for sharing, bad enough to have a tire blow out but it always seems to do damage to the 5er. We mave made yearly trips with our Cougar and MAXXIS tires. We are now at the 5 year mark so need to replace them before our Snowbird trip. Would like to move up to an E rated tire but mot sure that the stock rims will take 80psi. I know the valve stems won't.

It took about 1 hour for my dealer to perform the test...including sealing two locations where the test showed a problem. Total cost was $100.00 and they let me observe the test.

We plan tentative stops ahead of time but never make reservations until we are an hour or so out. Only time we ran into problem was a Bowl Game in Shreveport, La that we did not take into consideration. So we ended up going another 15-20 miles further. No big deal

Remove the red wire thermo circuit and put the small red jumper back on that they removed when they did the recall. These thermo disc were not tested before or after they were installed...JMO

I had read on the forum sometime back that the "stock" rims with load range D tires were only rated for 65 psi as stamped on the rims. If I wanted to move up to a load range E tire that required 80 psi I would have to also upgrade the rims.. Now someone tell me the rims stamped 65 psi are okay for 80 psi.

My 45 gallon DOT approved tank came from American Tank in Dallas, TX. Like Transferflow they are not cheap as they have their own fuel pump, float, and what ever else the gov required.
